Creating a safe space in LAS

Due to the brutal attacks in the Gaza strip, our mediators are working on the creation of a safe space inside LAS. Your opinion is necessary to understand our community’s needs, so this poll has been set up. For more information, check out the mediator’s last email. 

Common room reminder

Please remember to clean after yourself when you use the common room – not leaving dirty cups behind or messy. Let’s make it a comfortable place for all LASers! 🙂

Winterformal Volunteers (Organisers and Set-up helpers)

After the rip-roaring success that was last year’s Winter Formal
will be holding another one in Janurary. We are looking for individuals interested in helping with organizing the event and folks who could help on the day-of with set up, etc. If you would like to get involved reach out to ucf.studentscouncil@gmail.com.

Studenten bilden Schüler looking for volunteers

Studenten bilden Schüler is a student association that provides volunteer tutors to children and young people from low-income families and refugees. It is represented in over 50 university cities across Germany and have set the goal of contributing to more equal opportunities in the education system by providing free tutoring for children from low-income and educationally disadvantaged families. Series of webinars “ELEVEL-Academy”

The start-up “ELEVEL-Academy” invites you to a series of free webinars in the next few weeks on the topics of ChatGPT in a professional context, Excel and deducting study costs.
In these webinars you will get an interactive and practical insight into relevant topics in 2 hours, have the opportunity to ask individual questions and acquire new skills free of charge with direct practical relevance.
The webinars are interesting for all students, regardless of their field of study. By participating in the webinars, you also have the opportunity to receive individual skill certificates.

UNILIFE-M Project for mental health

The international project wants to find out which lifestyle factors have a protective effect on the mental health of students in order to create a basis for the development of specific lifestyle interventions.
Around 18,000 students at more than 60 universities in around 30 countries across all continents are currently being surveyed about lifestyle factors (e.g. stress management, nutrition, sleeping habits) and their mental health.
