General Assembly (GA)
We are super excited to inform you that the GA is going to happen this Friday! It will be at 2pm in KG 3042.
We will conduct elections, give you lots of updates and also talk about the Charter (a document that is about the structure, operation, power, etc. of all LAS students in the Students Council)!
It will definitely be informative and fruitful. If you have points to make in the GA, please email us by Wednesday (studentscouncil@ucf.uni-freiburg.de)! See you there!

SC Meeting – Minutes
Our students council meetings took place this Friday at 1:00 p.m..
The next SC meeting time remains unknown, we will announce it through email after we have come up a time with our new SC officers. During this period of time when the SC meeting time remains tbc, if you want us to talk about a specific matter, please send us an email (studentscouncil@ucf.uni-freiburg.de).

Model UN @LAS – Revival!
Here is a message from the MUN in UCF:
FreiMUN, the university’s Model United Nations committee will host a conference in Freiburg July 27.-29. The 60€ participant fee can be covered. Are you interested in participating in this conference, or in other Model UN conferences? Do you want to practice diplomatic negotiation together with other students? Contact the LAS Model UN committee (aka ImMUNity) directly by sending an email to uncommittee.ucf@gmail.com, or come talk to them at the General Assembly on Friday!

New delegates to the StuRa
Do you want to know what the university student council (StuRa) is doing? Are you interested in the politics of improving the study conditions for all students at the university? Do you want to contribute to the student community by taking up a low-intensity office? Become a delegate to the StuRa in the university elections this July! If you’re interested or want more information, shoot a message to stura.ucf@gmail.com or talk to Caren (cohort 7)!

New Officers to the SC
We have a lot of vacant offices, so feel free to apply for the positions available!
We’re looking for people for subsequent offices:
– 2 Executive Organisers (at least 1 non-female)
– 1 Treasurer
– 2 Delegates to the Board of Studies
– 2 Mediators (at least 1 non-male)
– 1 Secretary of Outreach
Candidates need to announce their candidacy at the latest during the GA.
Candidates that cannot be present during the GA have to announce their application in advance via email to the Executive Organizers (studentscouncil@ucf.uni-freiburg.de). Please refer to here for more info!

Volunteers needed – a lecture that may happen
Joseph Dituri (Ph.D. in Medical Engineering) is currently living in a submarine underwater in an attempt to break the world record. He has accepted to give a guest lecture for us while being in the submarine. He will talk about human endurance underwater and also share his experience and professional knowledge.
If you are interested in helping Ermelinda Kanushi, an instructor of UCF, to make this guest lecture happen, please send us an email (studentscouncil@ucf.uni-freiburg.de)
